bearbrick-lango-400
BE@RBRICK Lango (400%)

When an artist confidently places their signature on the figure and uses the classic Bearbrick format as a canvas, the result is a collector's piece with a character all of its own. The BE@RBRICK Lango (400%) from 2022 transfers the visual world of the artist Lango onto Medicom Toy's iconic bear silhouette and transforms it into a mythical creature. Instead of smooth surfaces, you can expect a dense, organic painting that takes over the bear from head to toe.

A dragon-like motif in deep red, carmine and rust brown covers the entire body. Scaly patches of skin, twisting horns and golden-yellow spikes stretch across the head, arms and legs, as if the creature were coiling itself around the bear. The reptilian eyes are particularly striking: on the chest, a large greenish-yellow eye with a narrow pupil stares back at you, and glowing eyes in green and blue also appear on the head, on the legs and on the back. Fine shading and highlights give the painting an almost three-dimensional depth, so that the scales seem to breathe depending on the viewing angle. On the back of one foot sits the lettering „LANGO“ as the artist's personal handwriting.

The model is released as a single in 400% format and measures around 28 cm. This size in particular benefits the highly detailed allover print: the motifs run across joints and body parts and reveal subtleties that would be lost on smaller formats. For collectors who see Bearbricks as art objects, that is a strong argument.

Whether on a shelf, on a sideboard or in a display cabinet: this figure draws the eye and brings a hefty dose of fantasy drama to any room. An impressive gift for fans of dragons, mythical creatures and opulent illustrative art, and a real highlight for your own collection.
