The turquoise marking between his eyes and his red cheeks give Konnosuke his distinctive, cute expression.

Touken Ranbu launched in January 2015 as a free browser card game from DMM Games and Nitroplus and quickly became a cultural phenomenon in Japan. The game transforms legendary historical Japanese swords into attractive warriors, called Touken Danshi, whom the player guides through time as a Saniwa to protect history from evil forces. Konnosuke is a Kudagitsune—a mythological fox from Japanese folklore—who acts as a friendly guide and navigator in the game. With his polite manner and fondness for aburaage (fried tofu), Konnosuke became one of the franchise's main mascots.

The success of Touken Ranbu led to numerous adaptations: anime series, stage musicals, live-action films, manga, and even a kabuki performance. The franchise sparked a katana boom in Japan and inspired young women, in particular, to take an interest in historical Japanese swords. Konnosuke became so popular that he took second place in the 2016 Yuru-chara Grand Prix, a competition for Japanese mascots. For Touken Ranbu fans, collectors of Japanese pop culture, or anyone fascinated by cute mascots and historical swords, this Bearbrick is a must-have. Get this charming companion and let Konnosuke enrich your collection with his timeless cuteness.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0843/3133/1850/files/bearbrick-series-32-animal-touken-ranbu-100-herstellerbild.webp?v=1760436120
