bearbrick-series-8-artist-h8graphix-100
BE@RBRICK Series 8 Artist "H8graphix" (100%)

Sporty dynamism meets urban street art aesthetics in this Artist Bearbrick from Series 8 from 2004, designed by H8graphix. The figure depicts an American football player in full uniform, sporting a black jersey prominently featuring the number 8 in white with a neon green outline. The detailed football helmet with a face grille in beige and gold tones, the neon green accents on the shoulders, sleeves, and gloves, and the white pants with signature armor details create an authentic football atmosphere that is perfectly translated into the compact Bearbrick form.

H8graphix, whose real name is Hideaki Hatta, is a Japanese designer toy artist who works closely with Medicom Toy and is particularly known for his VCD figures. His designs include characters from the horror, punk, and metal scenes, including figures for bands like the Misfits, Balzac, and Stormtroopers of Death. This connection to the music scene is also reflected in this football player—the combination of sports, streetwear, and underground culture is characteristic of the early 2000s, when designer toys blurred the boundaries between different subcultures.

The design impresses with its attention to detail: the skull decal on the helmet, the precise reproduction of football gear with shoulder pads and protectors, the neon green highlights that give the entire look a modern, almost futuristic touch, and the number 8 as the central graphic element on the chest. The color palette of black, white, beige, gold, and neon green creates a strong visual contrast that makes the figure a real eye-catcher. The red AIDS awareness ribbon on the jersey also demonstrates a social awareness that goes beyond pure aesthetics.

At 7 cm tall in 100% format and featuring the classic nine movable parts, this Bearbrick is functionally a toy, but its artistic quality makes it a coveted collector's item. The Artist category is among the rarest in any series, and this football player uniquely combines sports, street culture, and Japanese designer toy tradition. A perfect piece for fans of American football, urban fashion, and the early designer toy movement.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0843/3133/1850/files/bearbrick-series-8-artist-h8graphix-100-herstellerbild.webp?v=1760866543
