Hideto Matsumoto, better known as hide, was far more than just the lead guitarist of X Japan. He is considered a co-founder of Visual Kei and, with his blend of hard rock, industrial, and cyberpunk aesthetics, influenced an entire generation of Japanese musicians. Among his numerous Fernandes signature models, the "Yellow Heart" achieved cult status—a guitar with a distinctive heart pattern and inscriptions like "love me" placed between the hearts, which became the unmistakable visual trademark of the exceptional artist who passed away in 1998. In collaboration with Amplifier, the brand licensed by the Headwax Organization to bring hide's musical legacy to the world of designer toys, Medicom Toy continues its successful Heart Bearbrick series with this reverse version.

This Bearbricks design reverses the classic Yellow Heart color scheme: instead of a yellow base with red hearts, the figure features a rich red base covered in vibrant yellow hearts that extend seamlessly from the tips of the ears to the feet. Interspersed among these hearts, provocative text fragments like "love me," "stupid?" and other cheeky messages wind their way across the body in black handwriting – perfectly in keeping with hide's rebellious attitude. A single black heart on the stomach provides a subtle counterpoint to the colorful overall design. The high-gloss finish gives both the 100% and 400% scale figures an intense luminosity that particularly accentuates the pop-art-like interplay of red and yellow.
