This compact 100% Bearbrick figure is the secret crowning achievement of the BAPE 28th Anniversary #2 collection – a collector's item that unites the entire heritage of the legendary Japanese streetwear brand in a single figure. As a SECRET variant with significantly reduced availability, this figure combines all the color palettes of the series into a spectacular work of art, while the large "28" on the chest unmistakably celebrates the anniversary.
Founded in 1993 by Nigo in Tokyo's trendy Harajuku district, BAPE revolutionized the streetwear scene with its iconic camo pattern. Inspired by the film Planet of the Apes and developed by legendary graphic designer Sk8thing, BAPE camo, introduced in 1996, became a global streetwear icon. For its 28th anniversary in 2021, this four-part Bearbrick series was released as a year-long celebration, with the secret variants representing the unique feature of each edition. This multi-color version of the #2 series encapsulates the full spectrum of BAPE's color palette—from the original yellow and green camo tones to the expressive color camo variations that won over stars like Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Drake, and Travis Scott.
The explosive color composition unites all the nuances of the series in a kaleidoscopic masterpiece: sunny yellow and orange meet vibrant green, luminous red and royal blue blend with delicate purple and sophisticated gray. Each side of the figure reveals new color combinations that flow seamlessly into one another thanks to the organic camo pattern.
