Batman: Hush, written by Jeph Loeb and drawn by Jim Lee, was published as a twelve-part story arc in Batman #608-619 from 2002-2003 and has become a modern classic. The story of the mysterious villain "Hush" – Bruce Wayne's manipulative childhood friend Dr. Thomas Elliot – is considered one of the most personal and emotionally complex Batman stories ever told. Featuring cameos from nearly every Gotham villain, from the Joker and Riddler to Poison Ivy, and the romantic development between Batman and Catwoman, Hush became a sales record and profoundly shaped the Batman mythology.
