Product description

The universe, in its most fascinating and mysterious form, becomes a collector's item: This Bearbrick brings an official NASA simulation of a black hole to life on a bear figurine, transforming cutting-edge scientific research into a breathtaking designer toy. The collaboration between Medicom Toy and NASA makes one of the most extreme cosmic phenomena tangible, showing how a black hole distorts spacetime, traps light, and creates a visual vortex of unimaginable gravity. The result is a mesmerizing work of art that uniquely blends science and urban collector culture.

The spectacular visualization comes from NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, where astrophysicists Jeremy Schnittman and Brian Powell used supercomputers to simulate the complex distortion effects of a black hole. The image on the Bearbrick shows how a black hole distorts the starry background, traps the light from swirling gas clouds, and creates marble-like structures of vibrant colors. The front bears the inscription "BLACK HOLE Simulation by NASA," while the back references NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and the ESA Gaia mission—the European space mission that has been creating the most precise three-dimensional map of the Milky Way since 2013.

The design captivates with its mesmerizing color gradients in shades of blue, gray, and orange, reminiscent of cosmic accretion disks—those swirling structures of hot gas that surround black holes. The dark center symbolizes the event horizon, the point of no return, while the luminous swirls visualize the dramatic distortion of space and time. Every surface of the Bearbricks is covered in this spectacular NASA simulation, making it a 360-degree work of art that impresses from every angle.

With this limited edition set from 2022, you're not just bringing home an extraordinary collector's item, but a window into the universe. Perfect for space enthusiasts, science lovers, and anyone who wants to celebrate the mysterious and unfathomable nature of the cosmos.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 PM on weekdays (11:00 AM on Saturdays) will be shipped the same day via DHL. Delivery within Germany typically takes 1 to 2 business days. Deliveries to other EU countries or Switzerland typically take 2 to 4 business days. You will always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

How much are the shipping costs for this Bearbrick?

We offer free shipping within the European Union for orders over €75. For orders below this amount, we charge a flat shipping fee of €4.90 for deliveries within Germany and €7.90 for other EU countries. For customers in Switzerland or UK, the shipping fee is CHF 10.00 or GBP 10.00 respectively, with a minimum order value of CHF 75 or GBP 75. We cover all customs duties and import taxes for you.

What payment options do I have?

At MyBearBrick.de you can pay securely and conveniently using various payment methods, including PayPal, Klarna (purchase on account), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express).

What happens if I don't like the Bearbrick or it arrives damaged?

Your satisfaction is important to us. If, contrary to expectations, you don't like a Bearbrick or it's damaged, you have a 30-day free return policy. Simply contact us by phone, email, or chat, and we'll send you a prepaid DHL return label. Once we receive your return, we'll, of course, refund the full purchase price, including any shipping costs.

Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
