Since 1977, C-3PO has been the eloquent golden voice of the Star Wars universe—a neurotic protocol droid with over seven million stored communication patterns, immortalized by Anthony Daniels, the only actor to appear in all nine episodes of the Skywalker saga. When Episode VII hit theaters in December 2015, every fan immediately noticed a disturbing change: the otherwise flawlessly golden C-3PO suddenly sported a fiery red left arm. "You probably didn't recognize me because of the red arm," he commented self-deprecatingly upon reuniting with Han Solo—but the film never explained this detail. It wasn't until a 2016 Marvel comic that the poignant story was revealed: the red arm belonged to Omri, a First Order droid who sacrificed himself for C-3PO during a rescue mission. Threepio wore this arm as a silent memorial, a mechanical war memorial for fallen machines. The torso design is particularly impressive – Medicom used transparent material here, revealing C-3PO's complex internal wiring, complete with the characteristic colorful cable harness and the mechanical components of his ribcage. The reverse side displays the precisely reproduced panel lines and technical details of the original droid design. The 7 cm compact 100% companion replicates the same color scheme in miniature.

The packaging pays homage to the legendary Kenner Star Wars figures of the original era: black cardboard with silver metallic Star Wars typography, a starry sky motif, and the signature rounded viewing window design. This retro aesthetic blends today's designer toy culture with the action figure nostalgia of the late seventies. For hardcore fans of the sequel trilogy, this Bearbrick commemorates a moment in film history—that brief period when C-3PO traded his golden appearance for a symbol of friendship.
