Product description

This extraordinary set unites one of children's literature's most beloved characters with innovative designer toy artistry. The Classic version, with its intricate fur texture, celebrates George's iconic appearance with unprecedented authenticity, bringing the magic of HA and Margaret Rey's timeless classic to life in three dimensions. Since its initial publication in 1941, the curious little monkey has accompanied generations of children—a cultural phenomenon that has become legendary with over 100 million books sold worldwide and translations into more than 20 languages.

The special significance of this character lies not only in its role as a symbol of childlike curiosity and a spirit of discovery, but also in its moving origin story. On the morning of June 14, 1940, the German-Jewish artists HA and Margret Rey fled Paris on homemade bicycles—just hours before the Nazis invaded. Among the few possessions they were able to take with them were five manuscripts, including Curious George. This dramatic escape not only saved the Reys' lives, but also a character who would become one of the most precious treasures of children's literature.

The set consists of the 100% version, standing 7 cm tall, and the impressive 400% version, standing 28 cm tall. The larger figure captivates with its detailed, warm brown fur imitation, perfectly capturing George's endearing appearance. His signature smile, sandy-colored hands and feet, and light-colored ears have been meticulously recreated. This Classic version conveys the timeless aesthetic of the original illustrations, making the figure the perfect bridge between nostalgic childhood memories and contemporary collectible culture.

Curious George is more than just entertainment – he's an ambassador for STEM education, a symbol of resilience, and a representative of that childlike curiosity that wants to explore the world. Released in November 2025 with dual-technology, this set connects generations and reminds us that true curiosity is timeless.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 PM on weekdays (11:00 AM on Saturdays) will be shipped the same day via DHL. Delivery within Germany typically takes 1 to 2 business days. Deliveries to other EU countries or Switzerland typically take 2 to 4 business days. You will always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

How much are the shipping costs for this Bearbrick?

We offer free shipping within the European Union for orders over €75. For orders below this amount, we charge a flat shipping fee of €4.90 for deliveries within Germany and €7.90 for other EU countries. For customers in Switzerland or UK, the shipping fee is CHF 10.00 or GBP 10.00 respectively, with a minimum order value of CHF 75 or GBP 75. We cover all customs duties and import taxes for you.

What payment options do I have?

At MyBearBrick.de you can pay securely and conveniently using various payment methods, including PayPal, Klarna (purchase on account), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express).

What happens if I don't like the Bearbrick or it arrives damaged?

Your satisfaction is important to us. If, contrary to expectations, you don't like a Bearbrick or it's damaged, you have a 30-day free return policy. Simply contact us by phone, email, or chat, and we'll send you a prepaid DHL return label. Once we receive your return, we'll, of course, refund the full purchase price, including any shipping costs.

Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
