The 2005-06 season marks one of the most glorious moments in FC Barcelona's history – a triumphant high point celebrated by this exclusive Bearbrick in gleaming gold. Under the guidance of manager Frank Rijkaard and led by superstar Ronaldinho, the Catalans dominated European football like never before. With a spectacular 2-1 victory in the final against Arsenal FC on May 17, 2006, at the Stade de France in Paris, Barcelona captured the coveted Champions League trophy for the second time, following their first in 1992. The magical attacking trio of Ronaldinho, Samuel Eto'o, and the then 18-year-old Lionel Messi proved unstoppable – scoring 16 goals in six group stage matches. Ronaldinho himself shone with seven goals and five assists in twelve Champions League appearances and was named FIFA World Player of the Year for the second consecutive year in December 2005.
Medicom Toy pays tribute to this historic triumph with a spectacular design statement: The golden head symbolizes the prestigious Champions League trophy – that iconic vessel with the characteristic handles, known in the football world simply as the "Big Ears." The highly polished, golden surface reflects the light, giving the Bearbrick a noble, trophy-like presence. The word "BARÇA" is emblazoned on the forehead, while the body faithfully recreates the legendary Blaugrana jersey of the 2005-06 season. The vertical stripes in royal blue and burgundy form the unmistakable club pattern, and the venerable FC Barcelona crest, with its characteristic cross and Catalan colors, is prominently displayed in the center.
Authentic details like the Nike logo on the collar and sponsored elements enhance the realistic look. The gold arms and the lower third, featuring the club colors of blue, red, and gold, complete the majestic appearance. The set includes both sizes – the imposing 400% version (28 cm) as a statement piece and the compact 100% version (7 cm) with a gold head.
