Product description

When Japanese Pop Art meets American cartoon iconography, the result is a work of art that elevates any collection. Keiichi Tanaami, born in Tokyo in 1936, is one of Japan's most influential graphic designers and artists and is considered a pioneer of psychedelic Pop Art. His visual worlds, shaped by the bombardments of World War II, hallucinations, and the sensory overload of consumer culture, make him one of the most important artists of the post-war period. For this BE@RBRICK Keiichi Tanaami "Mickey Mouse" (100%+400%), Tanaami has put arguably the world's most famous character through his unmistakable filter – a fascinating convergence of Disney and Japanese avant-garde.

The Bearbrick's surface is a wild, dense collage-universe: layered motifs in bright orange, green, blue, and red hues stretch across the entire body, interspersed with comic-like explosions, "WHAM!" effects, and surreal, insect-like fragmented creatures. Mickey Mouse repeatedly flashes through the psychedelic patterns – sometimes as the classic figure, sometimes in fragmented, dreamily distorted form. The glossy print makes the overflowing richness of detail practically pulsate, transforming every perspective of the figure into its own small painting full of movement and chaos.

The set combines the popular dual sizes: the 100% Bearbrick measures approximately 7 cm and serves as a handy companion, while the impressive 400% figure, at about 28 cm tall, becomes the focal point of any display case. Both sizes feature the continuous Tanaami artwork, with the larger figure particularly impressively showcasing the opulent abundance of motifs. As part of the artist collaborations curated by Medicom Toy, this model is a coveted collector's item that celebrates the bridge between fine art, streetwear culture, and Disney nostalgia.

This set is ideal for anyone who sees Bearbricks not just as toys, but as art objects. Whether as the centerpiece of your collection, a statement in your living space, or a special gift for Disney and Pop Art fans – here, two worlds unite into a timeless work of art. Grab it before this extraordinary piece is gone.

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 PM on weekdays (11:00 AM on Saturdays) will be shipped the same day via DHL. Delivery within Germany typically takes 1 to 2 business days, to other EU countries 2 to 4 business days, and to the United Kingdom 3 to 5 business days. You will always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

How much are the shipping costs for this Bearbrick?

What happens if I don't like the Bearbrick or it arrives damaged?

Your satisfaction is important to us. If, contrary to expectations, you don't like a Bearbrick or it's damaged, you have a 30-day free return policy. Simply contact us by phone, email, or chat, and we'll send you a prepaid DHL return label. Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
