Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO is one of the most exciting Japanese fashion labels of today. Founded by footwear designer Mihara Yasuhiro, who already caused a stir with handmade shoes during his studies at Tama Art University, the brand stands for an unconventional fusion of craftsmanship, deconstruction, and avant-garde streetwear. Mihara Yasuhiro's works consciously navigate between high fashion and subculture, between perfection and deliberate imperfection. Precisely this tension is reflected in the collaboration with Medicom Toy, which, with the BE@RBRICK Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO Gold/Brown (100%+400%), has created a collector's item that fascinatingly brings together fashion and designer toy culture.
The design of this Bearbrick is divided into two contrasting halves that run vertically along the center of the body. The left side features a matte, warm brown with a gently structured surface, while the right side shines in an intensely reflective gold-chrome finish. This asymmetrical dichotomy adopts Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO's characteristic principle of deconstruction – two opposing worlds harmoniously coexisting in a single figure. Across both halves run dashed lines and seams, reminiscent of patterns and templates from fashion production. A stylized inkblot adorns the chest, appearing like a deliberately placed flaw and underscoring Mihara Yasuhiro's philosophy of beautiful imperfection. The back of the 400% model bears the distinctive Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO logo in its iconic frame design, complemented by the Japanese Katakana script "メゾン ミハラヤスヒロ".
The set includes a 100% figure approximately 7 cm tall and a 400% figure approximately 28 cm tall. Both sizes feature the same split design, with the contrast between matte brown and glossy gold-chrome being particularly striking on the larger figure.
