Product description

The beckoning cat is one of Japan's best-known symbols of good fortune: in shops, restaurants and homes it greets visitors with a raised paw and is said to attract luck, prosperity and customers. Medicom Toy transfers this time-honoured motif onto the unmistakable silhouette of the Bearbrick and wraps the figure in a costume made of soft terry cloth. Japanese folk art meets modern designer toy culture, and the result practically invites you to pick it up.

The fluffy, snow-white surface defines the character of this model. Pink inner ears, black patches on the head, large dark eyes with gold rims, fine whiskers and a small pink nose form a friendly cat face. Around the neck sits a red band with a little golden bell, with a green bib beneath it. Two golden oval coin motifs with black Japanese characters stand out on the belly, one of them bearing the characters for Tokyo. The feet are decorated with black paw pads edged in gold, and pink accents add fine details to the paws and toes. One paw is raised in the typical beckoning gesture, and on the back a white cat tail rounds off the costume look.

The model is released in 2026 as a single in 400% format, standing around 28 cm tall. At this size in particular, the textile structure, the embroidery-like details and the lovingly crafted accessories really come into their own. Compared with classic vinyl surfaces, the terry cloth costume offers an unusual feel that immediately catches the eye in any collection.

For fans of Japanese culture, lovers of lucky charms and Bearbrick collectors with an eye for unusual materials, this figure is a real highlight. It also makes a great impression as a gift for a business opening, a housewarming or simply as a good-luck wish. Secure this charming companion while it is available.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 pm on working days (Saturday by 11:00 am) ship the same day – within Germany with Deutsche Post DHL, abroad with DHL or UPS. Delivery within Germany usually takes 1 to 2 working days; with UPS Express Saver, delivery is on the next working day. Deliveries to other EU countries, Sweden, the United Kingdom or Switzerland usually take 3 to 5 working days. You always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

How much are the shipping costs for this Bearbrick?

We offer free shipping within the European Union for orders over €75. For orders below this amount, we charge a flat shipping fee of €4.90 for deliveries within Germany and €7.90 for other EU countries. For UK customers, the shipping fee is GBP 10.00 with a minimum order value of GBP 140.00. We cover all customs duties and import taxes for you. For orders to Switzerland we charge a flat shipping rate of CHF 10.00; the minimum order value is CHF 75.00, and here too we cover all customs duties and import fees for you.

What happens if I don't like the Bearbrick or it arrives damaged?

Your satisfaction is important to us. If, contrary to expectations, you don't like a Bearbrick or it's damaged, you have a 30-day free return policy. Simply contact us by phone, email, or chat, and we'll send you a prepaid DHL return label. Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
