Public Image Ltd – PiL for short – is the legendary post-punk project founded by John Lydon (better known as Johnny Rotten) after the Sex Pistols disbanded in 1978. While the Sex Pistols defined punk, PiL pushed its boundaries with experimental sound, dub influences, and an avant-garde aesthetic. The iconic PiL logo, designed by graphic artist Dennis Morris, with its circular shape and striking letters, became one of the most recognizable symbols of the post-punk era. Medicom Toy honors this piece of music history with its own Bearbrick collaboration, bringing the rebellious spirit of the band into the world of designer toys.
The set captivates with a consistently minimalist design that perfectly matches PiL's reduced aesthetic. Both figures are completely in a deep, matte dark gray – a velvety finish that gives the Bearbrick an almost monolithic presence.
