Product description

A discarded sparring robot from the junkyard that punches its way up to fight the undefeated champion Zeus: With Real Steel, DreamWorks brought one of the most thrilling underdog stories of modern cinema to the screen in 2011. Directed by Shawn Levy and with Steven Spielberg as executive producer, ex-boxer Charlie, played by Hugh Jackman, battles his way through the world of robot boxing in 2020 together with his son Max and the robot Atom – the powerful fight scenes earned the film an Oscar nomination for Best Visual Effects.

This Bearbrick uncompromisingly translates the film's machine aesthetic into the 70% format: The body is held in dark steel gray and printed all around with mechanical details – panels, joints, and struts recreate the look of a combat robot, while a striking robot face looks back at you from the head. The approximately 5 cm tall figure hangs on a black carrying strap, making it equally suitable for a keychain, bag, or display case.

It was released at the end of 2011 as a promotional item for the Japanese cinema release on December 9: The gold-printed original packaging advertises the nationwide film release including a campaign URL, bears the DreamWorks copyright, the Medicom product code, and a hologram authenticity seal. This Bearbrick never went into regular retail – it was distributed exclusively through the Japanese cinema campaign.

A little fighter with a big history: If Atom captivated you in the cinema back then, or if you collect Japanese movie promos, this underdog belongs in your corner of the ring.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 PM on weekdays (11:00 AM on Saturdays) will be shipped the same day via DHL. Delivery within Germany typically takes 1 to 2 business days, to other EU countries 2 to 4 business days, and to the United Kingdom 3 to 5 business days. You will always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

How much are the shipping costs for this Bearbrick?

We offer free shipping within the European Union for orders over €75. For orders below this amount, we charge a flat shipping fee of €4.90 for deliveries within Germany and €7.90 for other EU countries. For UK customers, the shipping fee is GBP 10.00 with a minimum order value of GBP 140.00. We cover all customs duties and import taxes for you.

What payment options do I have?

At MyBearBrick.de you can pay securely and conveniently using various payment methods, including PayPal, Klarna (purchase on account), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express).

What happens if I don't like the Bearbrick or it arrives damaged?

Your satisfaction is important to us. If, contrary to expectations, you don't like a Bearbrick or it's damaged, you have a 30-day free return policy. Simply contact us by phone, email, or chat, and we'll send you a prepaid DHL return label. Once we receive your return, we'll, of course, refund the full purchase price, including any shipping costs.

Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
