Product description

This Bearbrick from the 2008 Series 17 presents the Russian tricolor in its classic horizontal arrangement: a vibrant white at the top, an intense blue in the middle, and a dynamic red at the bottom, dominating the compact 100% figure. These three equally sized stripes make the Russian flag one of the most distinctive tricolors in the world and transform the Bearbrick into a fascinating collector's item with historical depth.

The history of this color combination dates back to 1699, when Tsar Peter the Great introduced the tricolor as the flag for the Russian navy, modeled after the Dutch flag. The colors are derived from the coat of arms of the Principality of Moscow: a white knight on a white horse against a red background, wrapped in a blue cloak. This symbolic combination was officially prescribed for all Russian merchant ships in 1705 and became the basis of a movement that extended far beyond Russia's borders: in 1848, these colors were declared the Pan-Slavic colors and inspired many Slavic nations in the design of their own flags.

The meaning of the three colors has been interpreted differently over the centuries: traditionally, white stood for freedom and faith, blue for the Virgin Mary and honesty, and red for the power of the Tsars and bravery. Today, the colors are understood as a symbol of faith, hope, and courage. After the Soviet era, the tricolor became the official national flag of Russia again on August 22, 1991, a date that has since been celebrated as National Flag Day. For collectors of flag arbricks, lovers of Russian history, or anyone who appreciates the powerful symbolism of this Pan-Slavic color combination, this 100% version is a meaningful collector's item.

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 PM on weekdays (11:00 AM on Saturdays) will be shipped the same day via DHL. Delivery within Germany typically takes 1 to 2 business days. Deliveries to other EU countries or Switzerland typically take 2 to 4 business days. You will always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

How much are the shipping costs for this Bearbrick?

Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
