Product description

When cute robots meet designer toys: Series 40 artist "Denshitako No. 3" brings one of Japan's most charming exploration robots to the Bearbrick platform. Created by Japanese illustrator and sculptor HAKURO, Denshitako No. 3 is part of the fictional company Hinomoto Heavy Industries, which develops exploration robots in a futuristic Japan.

The name Denshitako literally means "electric octopus," and its design is based on a deep-sea umbrella octopus. The robot was developed to adapt to a wide range of environments, from the depths of the ocean to freshwater. What makes Denshitako special is Hinomoto Heavy Industries' philosophy: "Always take care of and value your possessions." Therefore, the robots were deliberately designed to be cute so that everyone would love them, and the company has built a strong maintenance department.

This Bearbrick features Denshitako in a signature color scheme: her head is bright coral red, with a sweet face, large, shiny eyes with rosy cheeks, and a cheerful smile. The red hair with yellow highlights gives the figure a girlish appeal, while the drawstring hoodie design blends the robot aesthetic with streetwear. The arms and hands, in warm orange and yellow, create a harmonious color gradient, while the black legs with white shoes create a sporty look.

Each Denshitako unit has its own personality, but all Hinomoto Heavy Industries models are cheerful and friendly. The figure is not only a marine research robot, but has also been used in many other areas and has become a popular character in the Japanese designer toy scene.

The Artist category is the most exclusive category of each regular Bearbrick Series and features collaborations with contemporary artists and designers. Standing at 7 cm tall, this Bearbrick is a perfect example of HAKURO's unique blend of kawaii aesthetics and sci-fi design—ideal for fans of Japanese designer toys and anyone who loves cute robots.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 PM on weekdays (11:00 AM on Saturdays) will be shipped the same day via DHL. Delivery within Germany typically takes 1 to 2 business days. Deliveries to other EU countries or Switzerland typically take 2 to 4 business days. You will always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

How much are the shipping costs for this Bearbrick?

We offer free shipping within the European Union for orders over €75. For orders below this amount, we charge a flat shipping fee of €4.90 for deliveries within Germany and €7.90 for other EU countries. For customers in Switzerland or UK, the shipping fee is CHF 10.00 or GBP 10.00 respectively, with a minimum order value of CHF 75 or GBP 75. We cover all customs duties and import taxes for you.

What payment options do I have?

At MyBearBrick.de you can pay securely and conveniently using various payment methods, including PayPal, Klarna (purchase on account), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express).

What happens if I don't like the Bearbrick or it arrives damaged?

Your satisfaction is important to us. If, contrary to expectations, you don't like a Bearbrick or it's damaged, you have a 30-day free return policy. Simply contact us by phone, email, or chat, and we'll send you a prepaid DHL return label. Once we receive your return, we'll, of course, refund the full purchase price, including any shipping costs.

Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
