Product description

The BE@RBRICK Series 51 horror model immortalizes a heavy metal legend: Eddie "The Trooper"—arguably the most iconic incarnation of Iron Maiden's immortal mascot. The 7 cm tall figure depicts Eddie in the historical uniform of a 19th-century British cavalryman, complete with a bright red jacket, beige trousers with suspenders, and military details. His terrifying face, with its characteristically angry eyes, grim expression, and striking features, makes Eddie instantly recognizable as the legendary zombie skeleton that has graced almost every Iron Maiden album cover since 1980.

Eddie "The Trooper" first appeared in 1983 on the cover of the single of the same name from the album *Piece of Mind*. The artwork, created by Derek Riggs, depicts Eddie as a British cavalryman serving with the Light Brigade charge at the Battle of Balaklava in 1854 during the Crimean War—a disastrous cavalry charge immortalized by Lord Tennyson's famous poem. Bassist Steve Harris wrote the song as a haunting depiction from the perspective of a dying soldier on the battlefield. The red uniform jacket, military insignia, and overall warlike aesthetic make this version of Eddie one of the most popular and widely used representations of the mascot.

Eddie is undoubtedly the most famous mascot in heavy metal history. Since his debut on Iron Maiden's first album in 1980, the character has constantly transformed – from zombie to Egyptian pharaoh to cyborg – but "The Trooper" version remains one of the most definitive and is regularly celebrated at live concerts when singer Bruce Dickinson waves the Union Flag and wears an authentic redcoat uniform himself.

The Bearbrick perfectly captures Eddie's grim determination and turns the metal icon into a collectible designer toy – a must-have for Iron Maiden fans and metal memorabilia lovers.

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 PM on weekdays (11:00 AM on Saturdays) will be shipped the same day via DHL. Delivery within Germany typically takes 1 to 2 business days. Deliveries to other EU countries or Switzerland typically take 2 to 4 business days. You will always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

How much are the shipping costs for this Bearbrick?

We offer free shipping within the European Union for orders over €75. For orders below this amount, we charge a flat shipping fee of €4.90 for deliveries within Germany and €7.90 for other EU countries. Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
