Bearbrick Series 6 Thermo 100% Begleitkarte — With the original Medicom Toy card

This exceptional Bearbrick from Series 6, released in June 2003, belongs to the fascinating Thermo category and embodies one of the most enigmatic characters in the Bearbrick universe. The Thermo variant is characterized by its mysterious, translucent appearance, which lends the collectible an almost ghostly elegance. The translucent, milky-transparent material creates a fascinating play of light and shadow, revealing the internal structure and the characteristic nine moving parts.

The misty, almost ethereal surface, in a soft gray-transparent shade, resembles frozen glass or morning mist that hasn't yet fully cleared. Depending on the incidence of light and viewing angle, the perception of this figure changes dramatically—from complete transparency to a gently shimmering gray tone. This optical mutability makes the Thermo a living work of art that changes its character depending on its surroundings.

The thematic concept of the Series 6 Thermo is inspired by the mysterious world of detectives and investigators. The official Japanese description tells the story of a mysterious observer who works in secret, constantly searching for the truth. This narrative depth lends the transparent design an additional layer of meaning – the translucency symbolizes the ability to see through illusions and get to the heart of things.

With its distinctive bear-like silhouette and eight points of articulation, this Bearbrick combines technical sophistication with artistic sophistication. The Series 6 dates back to the pioneering phase of Bearbrick production, when Medicom Toy experimented and used innovative materials like transparent plastics. The Thermo, with its distinctive appearance, was significantly rarer than the basic versions and quickly became a sought-after collector's item among connoisseurs.

Whether as a mysterious eye-catcher in your display case, as a contrast to colorful Bearbricks, or as a standalone statement for minimalist aesthetics – this translucent contemporary witness from 2003 embodies the experimental creativity of the early designer toy era.

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there’s no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector’s item in its own right and important for preserving the model’s value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colours and material over time.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy’s production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
