BE@RBRICK Spider-Gwen [Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse] (100%+400%)

With “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, Sony Pictures Animation reinvented the visual language of superhero cinema in 2018: halftone dots, offset print colours and hand-drawn comic lines became cinematic stylistic devices and earned the work the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Among the most defining characters is Gwen Stacy, who was bitten by the radioactive spider in her own universe and, as Spider-Gwen with her hood and ballet shoes, brings an unmistakable, almost dance-like iconography. In 2022, Medicom Toy translated this heroine into the pared-back design language of the Bearbrick.

The head is wrapped in the typical white hood, whose inside glows in vivid pink and red and is criss-crossed by fine turquoise web lines. The large white eye lenses are framed with pink hatching that picks up the film’s printed halftone look. On the body, the design switches to a black suit with a white, pointed neckline, while the arms stay white and once again show the red-and-turquoise web pattern on their insides. On the back, two jagged white shapes add a graphic accent, and on the feet, criss-cross laced turquoise ribbons create the ballet-shoe effect that makes Spider-Gwen so unique.

The BE@RBRICK Spider-Gwen [Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse] (100%+400%) is designed as a mixed-size set and brings together two formats with an identical design: the handy 100% figure at around 7 cm tall and the impressive 400% version at about 28 cm. In the large format especially, the fine web lines and the hatching around the eyes stand out particularly clearly, while the small figure finds its place as a companion on your shelf or desk.

For fans of the film, Marvel collectors and anyone who loves Bearbricks with bold colour drama, this duo is a real statement. Displayed as a pair, it looks like a still from the comic in any display cabinet and also makes an excellent gift for Spider-Verse enthusiasts.
