Product description

The Toxic Avenger – affectionately known as "Toxie" – is one of the most iconic figures in independent cinema and the unofficial mascot of the legendary Troma studio. Since his debut in the eponymous 1984 splatter cult classic, the disfigured but kind-hearted superhero from Tromaville, New Jersey, has amassed a huge fan base. What began as a low-budget horror comedy evolved into a franchise with multiple sequels, an animated series, and a 2023 reboot. With the BE@RBRICK The Toxic Avenger (100%+400%), Medicom Toy brings this trashy anti-hero to the world of designer toys, combining splatter film nostalgia with Japanese collector culture.

The design of this Bearbricks captures Toxie's grotesque appearance with impressive attention to detail. The head depicts his disfigured face with squinting blue eyes, bared teeth, and deep scars—a direct representation of the mutation caused by toxic waste. The flesh-colored skin is covered in blister-like growths and dark discolorations that extend across his head, arms, and hands. The torso wears a dark gray, tattered top with bright green streaks running down it—an unmistakable reference to the toxic waste that triggered Melvin's transformation into Toxie. The black legs feature a frayed, jagged gray pattern simulating ripped clothing, complemented by further green dripping effects and dark stains. Even the back is meticulously detailed, with large areas of toxic green running down it and other traces of dirt and decay covering the entire body.

The set includes a 100% scale figure approximately 7 cm tall and a 400% scale figure approximately 28 cm tall. Both sizes feature the same intricately printed Toxie design, with the larger version showcasing the numerous details – from skin blisters and green poison droplets to facial disfigurement – in significantly greater detail. For fans of Troma films and lovers of B-movie culture, this model is an absolute highlight in the Bearbrick universe, as crossovers between splatter film icons and premium collectibles are extremely rare.

Whether as the centerpiece of a horror film collection, an eye-catching addition to your shelf, or a gift for die-hard Troma fans – this Bearbrick brings the charm of the dirtiest superhero of all time into your home. Toxie collectibles are enjoying increasing popularity, and the connection to the Bearbrick platform makes this piece a highly desirable collector's item at the intersection of pop culture, trash cinema, and designer art. Secure this unique anti-hero before it disappears back into the toxic waste stream.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 PM on weekdays (11:00 AM on Saturdays) will be shipped the same day via DHL. Delivery within Germany typically takes 1 to 2 business days. Deliveries to other EU countries or Switzerland typically take 2 to 4 business days. You will always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

How much are the shipping costs for this Bearbrick?

We offer free shipping within the European Union for orders over €75. For orders below this amount, we charge a flat shipping fee of €4.90 for deliveries within Germany and €7.90 for other EU countries. For customers in Switzerland or UK, the shipping fee is CHF 10.00 or GBP 10.00 respectively, with a minimum order value of CHF 75 or GBP 75. We cover all customs duties and import taxes for you.

What payment options do I have?

At MyBearBrick.de you can pay securely and conveniently using various payment methods, including PayPal, Klarna (purchase on account), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express).

What happens if I don't like the Bearbrick or it arrives damaged?

Your satisfaction is important to us. If, contrary to expectations, you don't like a Bearbrick or it's damaged, you have a 30-day free return policy. Simply contact us by phone, email, or chat, and we'll send you a prepaid DHL return label. Once we receive your return, we'll, of course, refund the full purchase price, including any shipping costs.

Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
