Product description

The Toxic Crusaders are among the most eccentric heroes of 90s pop culture. What began as the ultra-violent B-movie "The Toxic Avenger" by Troma Entertainment was transformed in 1991 into an animated children's series in which the mutated hero Toxie, along with his equally unusual companions, battles polluters. Despite only 13 episodes, the series achieved cult status and spawned its own toy line. Medicom Toy is now capitalizing on this retro cult following and immortalizing Toxie as a Bearbrick – a tribute to arguably the most unconventional eco-superhero in television history.

The BE@RBRICK The Toxic Crusaders (100%+400%) figure captures Toxie's character with impressive attention to detail. The entire figure is rendered in a toxic green, representing the hero's mutated skin. His iconic blue headband sits atop his head, beneath which peer his characteristically asymmetrical eyes – one larger than the other, surrounded by irregular skin growths that emphasize Toxie's mutation. His open mouth with visible teeth gives him a charmingly grotesque expression. The torso features a ripped orange tank top, revealing hints of muscle beneath. Green paint splatters and blister motifs adorn his arms and legs, while beige bandages wrap his forearms. The dark blue pants are stained and ripped with green – as if Toxie had just finished a battle against environmental polluters. The back is also lovingly designed: crack lines run through the orange top, small circular motifs suggest toxic waste bubbles, and the blue headband is also visible from the back.

The set consists of two figures: one 100% scale at approximately 7 cm and the other 400% scale at approximately 28 cm tall. Both versions fully replicate Toxie's design, with the larger 400% version showcasing the numerous details, such as skin texture, the rips in the tank top, and the blister patterns, particularly impressively. This set is a true highlight for collectors of retro franchises and Troma fans, as The Toxic Crusaders are an absolute rarity in the Bearbrick universe.

Whether as the centerpiece of a 90s collection, an eye-catcher on a shelf, or a gift for fans of cult trash cinema – this Bearbrick combines nostalgia, pop art, and collector appeal in a unique figure. Secure this extraordinary set before the toxic green hero is sold out.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 PM on weekdays (11:00 AM on Saturdays) will be shipped the same day via DHL. Delivery within Germany typically takes 1 to 2 business days. Deliveries to other EU countries or Switzerland typically take 2 to 4 business days. You will always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

How much are the shipping costs for this Bearbrick?

We offer free shipping within the European Union for orders over €75. For orders below this amount, we charge a flat shipping fee of €4.90 for deliveries within Germany and €7.90 for other EU countries. For customers in Switzerland or UK, the shipping fee is CHF 10.00 or GBP 10.00 respectively, with a minimum order value of CHF 75 or GBP 75. We cover all customs duties and import taxes for you.

What payment options do I have?

At MyBearBrick.de you can pay securely and conveniently using various payment methods, including PayPal, Klarna (purchase on account), Apple Pay, Google Pay, and credit cards (VISA, Mastercard, American Express).

What happens if I don't like the Bearbrick or it arrives damaged?

Your satisfaction is important to us. If, contrary to expectations, you don't like a Bearbrick or it's damaged, you have a 30-day free return policy. Simply contact us by phone, email, or chat, and we'll send you a prepaid DHL return label. Once we receive your return, we'll, of course, refund the full purchase price, including any shipping costs.

Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
