Venom is one of the most fascinating characters in the Marvel universe. Originally introduced in 1988 in the pages of "The Amazing Spider-Man" as Peter Parker's arch-enemy, the alien symbiote has long since developed into an independent icon of pop culture. The combination of the amorphous alien organism and its human host Eddie Brock creates a character who fluctuates between anti-hero and villain – and it is precisely this dark fascination that Medicom Toy captures so impressively with the BE@RBRICK Venom (100%+400%). The collaboration between Medicom Toy and Marvel brings one of the most visually striking characters in comic history to the iconic Bearbrick silhouette.
The design is based on the classic comic depiction of Venom and features a deep black, matte base tone that covers almost the entire figure. In the center of the torso is the characteristic white spider symbol, whose curved legs extend over the chest and stomach and are also continued on the back in an even larger, mirrored version. The face is an absolute highlight: the large, white, angular eyes dominate the upper half of the head and give the Bearbrick the typical menacing Venom look. Below that, a wide, malevolent grin with sharp, jagged teeth in a light blue tone stretches across the lower half of the face, resembling a zipper. The Bearbrick's ears are made of a transparent, smoky-clear plastic, creating an appealing contrast to the otherwise dark color scheme and giving the model an additional visual accent.
The set includes a 100% figure approximately 7 cm tall and a 400% figure approximately 28 cm tall. Both sizes feature the same design motif, with the larger version naturally bringing out the details more impressively – in particular, the fine rows of teeth and the intricate lines of the spider symbol gain considerably in effect in the 400% format.
