Product description

"Diane, I'm holding in my hands a small but significant collectible. 7 cm tall. Black suit. Perfectly combed hair. This represents something rather profound about the nature of popular culture and nostalgia." This is how FBI Special Agent Dale Bartholomew Cooper might describe his own Bearbrick character, analyzing it in one of his legendary dictaphone monologues. When Kyle MacLachlan arrived in the small town of Twin Peaks on April 8, 1990, as the eccentric FBI agent to solve the murder of Laura Palmer, no one suspected that Cooper would become one of the most iconic TV characters of the 90s – and that MacLachlan would receive the Golden Globe for Best Actor for it in 1990.

Dale Cooper was the antithesis of the typical TV detective of that era. While NYPD Blue, Magnum P.I., and Law & Order presented tough guys with little empathy and quick fists, Cooper brought a completely new sensitivity to television. He was an empathetic investigator who believed women and listened to them—revolutionary for the early 1990s. His unconventional investigative methods—dream interpretation, Tibetan deduction techniques, throwing rocks at bottles to identify suspects—were as unusual as his childlike enthusiasm for life's simple pleasures: "Damn fine coffee! And hot!" and a slice of cherry pie at the Double R Diner.

Cooper was the perfect protagonist for David Lynch's surreal vision: a well-dressed, impeccably groomed gentleman in a black suit and tie, who recorded his everyday observations and abstract thoughts on a microcassette recorder for his secretary, Diane. His fascination with Eastern philosophy, Tibetan Buddhism, and Native American mythology made him a spiritual detective in a profoundly mysterious case. His trademarks—the thumbs-up when satisfied, his wise sayings ("Fellas, coincidence and fate figure largely in our lives"), his unwavering politeness—defined "90s cool with awkward charm."

But behind the charming FBI agent lurked darkness. Cooper was responsible for the death of his great love, Caroline, who was murdered by his former partner, Windom Earle. And at the end of the second season, Cooper himself fell victim to the supernatural forces of Twin Peaks – possessed by BOB, the demonic spirit from the Black Lodge.

This SECRET Bearbrick from Series 21 perfectly captures Cooper's classic look: the black suit with a white shirt and red-and-black striped tie represents the standard FBI look, while the perfectly combed black hair reflects Cooper's meticulous self-presentation. The beige face with its empty black eyes gives the figure an eerie air—a subtle reference to the dark forces that took over Cooper at the end of the series. As a SECRET figure, this Bearbrick is the rarest draw from the series—fitting for the man who said, "Every day, once a day, give yourself a present."

Is this Bearbrick already pre-assembled?

Yes, all Bearbricks available at MyBearBrick.de are delivered fully assembled by the manufacturer Medicom Toy and are ready to display. So there's no risk of damaging the model.

What packaging does this Bearbrick come in?

This Bearbrick comes in the official original Medicom Toy packaging (see specifications). This is often a collector's item in its own right and important for preserving the model's value. We take care to ensure secure packaging for shipping to prevent damage during transport.

What material is this Bearbrick made of and how do I best care for it?

Most Bearbricks are made of high-quality plastic (ABS plastic), unless otherwise stated in the specifications. For maintenance, we recommend gently dusting the figure regularly with a soft, dry cloth. On chrome versions, fingerprints should be avoided; cloth gloves may be helpful here. Direct sunlight and high humidity should be avoided to protect the colors and material over time and ensure long-term value retention.

How quickly will my order be shipped and how long will delivery take?

Orders received by 2:00 PM on weekdays (11:00 AM on Saturdays) will be shipped the same day via DHL. Delivery within Germany typically takes 1 to 2 business days. Deliveries to other EU countries or Switzerland typically take 2 to 4 business days. You will always receive a tracking number so you can check the status of your delivery at any time.

How much are the shipping costs for this Bearbrick?

We offer free shipping within the European Union for orders over €75. For orders below this amount, we charge a flat shipping fee of €4.90 for deliveries within Germany and €7.90 for other EU countries. Will I receive a certificate of authenticity for this Bearbrick?

For all Bearbricks 200% and larger (including 100%+400% sets), we at Zaiser Art Gallery issue an additional Certificate of Authenticity for your records. This underscores our commitment and conviction to offering only genuine Medicom Toy products.

How does the quality and mobility of this model differ from other sizes?

Medicom Toy's production quality is very high across all sizes. Larger models (400% or 1000%) often offer more space for detailed designs. However, the joints vary depending on the size: In larger models (400% and 1000%), the arms and legs usually rotate in a single plane. Smaller Bearbricks (especially 100% and 200%) often have ball joints, allowing for more flexible movement of the limbs.
