The science fiction category in the Bearbrick series is dedicated to the iconic mecha, robots, and spaceships of Japanese and international pop culture. The 2013 BE@RBRICK Series 26 SF "EVA-06" brings one of the most significant units from the Rebuild of Evangelion film series to the characteristic Bear format, making a piece of modern anime history tangible. As one of the new Evangelion designs created exclusively for the Rebuild tetralogy, EVA-06 embodies the evolution of a franchise that has profoundly shaped the anime landscape since 1995.
Evangelion Mark.06 debuted at the end of Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, still under construction on the Tabgha moon base, and saw its first real action in the finale of Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. Piloted by the enigmatic Kaworu Nagisa, this unit is referred to by SEELE as the "true Evangelion" and plays a central role in their secret plans to fulfill the covenant with Lilith. Unlike the production-based Evangelion units, Mark.06 possesses extraordinary abilities such as pilot-controlled levitation and manifests an angelic halo, hinting at its unique nature, a hybrid of machine and divine being. Its deep blue color with yellow accents, signature curved shoulder pylons, and elongated torso make Mark.06 one of the most visually striking designs in the entire Evangelion franchise.
On the Bearbrick, this complex mecha aesthetic is rendered with impressive precision. The rich violet-blue dominates the head, torso, and legs, while the yellow accents on the eyes, chest, and knees are strategically placed, emphasizing the unit's distinctive color scheme. The green shoulders stand out strikingly, while the black arms and lower legs suggest the multi-layered armor of the original. The depiction of the two-horned helmet with its characteristic yellow visor is particularly successful, making the iconic look of Mark.06 instantly recognizable even in miniaturized form.
